Chris sang in the choir of St Peter's from 1984-1987, before he became Organist & Choirmaster at St Michael & All Angels, Newton. In those days, the robed choir and organ played important roles in the worship at St Peter's, with both Eucharist and Mattins sung every week. Thanks to the support and kindness of the then Organist & Choirmaster, the late Michael Hams, it was at St Peter's that Chris gained his first experience of playing for services.
