Chris has written hundreds of reviews, mainly of CDs, but also of new compositions, scholarly editions and books. From the late 1990s until 2015 he contributed to virtually every edition of Church Music Quarterly and Organists’ Review, returning to writing for Organists' Review in 2019. He has also reviewed for Early Music, spoken on BBC Radio 4 and Radio Wales, and judged composing and performing competitions.
