In this article, Chris argues that the two treble parts of bars 38-41 are incorrect in the earliest extant source (published after the composer's death) and, in consequence, they have been given incorrectly in the subsequent published editions. Based on close study of the earliest extant source, it corrects numerous misreadings in the two editions in general circulation and, as per Chris's Organists' Review article, this edition also 'corrects' the treble parts in bars 38-41.
