Seven sketches of the Life of Christ, composed as progressive studies for the young pianist from near beginner to advanced level.
The work was composed as a Christening gift for the composer's niece and is therefore intended as a kind of catechism as well as a miniature 'Gradus ad Parnassum' for the pianist. The première public performance was given in 2014 by the composer at St Mary-le-Bow in the City of London. |

A not-too-difficult piece in three movements composed for the pleasure of it over Christmas 2014. It was premièred in a recital at St Margaret's, Lee.
I: Poco Allegro II: Tranquillo III: Risoluto In 2023 the original second movement (which had been conceived as a Nativity Scene, though this was not indicated in the score) was transcribed for organ as 'Adoration at the Crib'. A new second movement, broadly in a similar style and spirit of the original, but without a programmatic aspect, has been provided. |
