Chris returned to St Teilo's Church, Cardiff, where he had been Organist & Director of Music from 1993-2000 to give a recital, jointly with Chris Berry, prior to the church becoming an HTB plant church.  The hope expressed on the poster (right) that the existing congregation would be allowed to share the church building with its new occupiers did not come to fruition and the Vowles organ now sits unused.

The choir of St Mary's Catholic Church Blackheath (Director: Tim Murray) performed Chris's second setting of the Bendictus as the canticle at Morning Prayer.  Tim commissioned the piece for this purpose but this was the first time that it had been possible to perform it in its liturgical context

Chris's setting for organ of Es spricht der Unweisen Mund wohl -- one of the chorale tunes that Bach would have set in his Orgelbüchlein (if he had got round to it) -- was played by Nick Morris in a concert on Saturday 8 July, at St George's Church, Hanover Square, having been chosen for the shortlist in the Royal College of Organists / Orgelbüchlein Project Chorale Prelude Competition.  Chris's piece won the Audience Vote for Es spricht.  This piece later became the first of Chris's Eleven Chorale Preludes
