The Giltspur Singers were formed in the autumn of 2003.  They take their name from Giltspur Street, which leads up to the entrance of the church where they rehearse - the church of St Bartholomew-the-Less, inside the grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London.

The members of the choir are professionals in a wide range of careers, including the law, finance, teaching, medicine, the leisure industry and I.T.  A few are music graduates and some are church organists; but, for the majority, music has always been a hobby.  It is the sense of music as a source of relaxation and enjoyment that the Giltspur Singers hope to communicate in their performances.

The Giltspur Singers currently have vacancies in all departments. We are particularly looking to recruit another bass and two or three sopranos, though applications from tenors and altos are also welcome. Please contact Tim Murray for more details.

The entrance to St Bartholomew-the-Less is via the King Henry VIII Gate on West Smithfield, EC1.  Find this location HERE.

Nearest tubes: St Paul's (Central Line); Barbican (Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines).

The rehearsal venue is also within easy walking distance of: Bank (Northern and Central Lines, and Docklands Light Railway); Monument (District and Circle Lines); Farringdon (Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines, and Main Line)
